Changed flat battery now got no dash lights

Hi there everyone. I've got a little problem with my 2nd xtype. The battery went flat due to lack of use, after fitting a new battery I tried to start the car when I turned the key I have no ignition lights and no start. There is a clicking coming from the ecu in the drivers footwell which I think is the immobiliser. How can I diactivate it please

That was in May , it is now almost Sept.    Did you figure out what it was ?

I've got the same issue with my '03 XJ8 .

Stupid reply by me....but what is the battery voltage reading ?  Sounds like the solenoid  maybe.
