gearbox warning light

hi, ive just bought a lovely x type 2.2 estate,auto. 2009.

 

when i picked it up the gearbox warning light came on,the owner said "put your foot on the brake as you turn it on and the light won't come on"

this worked, well at least until today, i've heard it might be the turbo? any help /advice please.

you need to get it plugged in and see what fault codes are there

asking will just be pure guess work and will cost you a fortune replacing parts that are ok

Thank you, I rang around yesterday (Saturday) everyone closed!!!!

I will try again tomorrow, and hopefully get some codes so I know which way to go?,

got the codes and it's the turbo actuator,

can anyone recommend a decent uk seller?

Ive searched on evilbay but the feedback on some of the sellers seem a bit dodgy, if you know what i mean.
