Key Fob Problem

Hi

I've a 2007 x-type V6 3L auto.

The key works for locking/unlocking and boot.

 

However, although it used to work, the facility for lighting up the headlights and sounding the alarm doesn't work anymore.

I've changed the battery, but that hasn't altered the problem.

 

What to do ???

Take the fob apart and clean the circuit board. If it still doesn’t work then these guys can repair fobs quickly and cheaply.

Hi Bill,

Welcome Jaguar Owners Club

It sounds like some sort  internal problem with  key fob possibly.

Could try cleaning circuit board or

you could try pairing it with car again it - videos on u tube 

if not the replacement keys are cheap to buy on eBay

you just need to pair up with car follow one of the videos on you tube like this one
