so where does the CD multichanger belong? I have looked at many reviews of the S-Type and they all appear to be in the boot, (which was where it was in my X-Type), but strangely this is not the case in my S, it has been put in the glove compartment, which renders this area useless for any storage.

Has anyone else got the multichanger in this position??

Cheers, Bob.

yep, its the same branded Jaguar multi-changer as i had in the X, just seems to be a weird place to put it, also the boot lining is not equipped to put the changer in, as the X, it had a flap which when taken down exposed it??

Mine has the cd changer in the glove box too. There is a space on the passenger side of the boot just forward of the light cluster for a dvd unit, but this is only for the Sat Nav option on the mk1. To make you feel better about the glove box have a look at a vauxhall corsa D. Now that is a truly stupid and pointless glove box.

Early S Types only had it in glove box. There is enough room to install the owners manual (underneath unit) which leaves you space for a food snack.... Still alot more space than my V6 Laguna :(. I am guessing that Jag new the cassette was end of life and assumed that we would use the cassette tape storage draw instead.......... and then there is the coin tray :) Could be worse.

Hi Joe,

it sounds like someone has changed the CD Changer for another type so that may be why the lead connections are different?

You may be able to get some adapters from an audio specialist or even Halfords that may suit the ones you have.
