  2. Thanks Andy. I followed your instructions and took the lamp out successfully. Unfortunately the idiots in the car spares shop gave me the 5v bulb instead of the correct 12v one, so I couldn't finish the job today. It'll have to wait until tomorrow now. Nick
  3. That could be it, Stan. The right amount of air is a big factor. Peter.
  4. All the way from Hong Kong, Peter.
  5. Well, it's fitted. Looks great in my opinion :)
  6. Well, I've got all the will-power of a soggy Kleenex I was over at my friends' place this morning and their S Type has the leaper on the bonnet. First thing I did when I got home was to order one. No will-power at all.
  7. Having driven a 55 plate with a leaper then driving mine without, I think I'd like to put one on my S Type... its all about the target practice ;) just kidding.... there is something about having that leaper on the bonnet. I imagine it'd be easy to fit... I have the standard Jaguar 3 Litre badge at the moment attached to my bonnet. I'm indecisive at the moment, but it was great test driving the 55 with a leaper..
  8. Hi Paul, When I bought my S Type a leaper was already fitted. Fortunately it's a good quality example, swivels easily and has a nicely machined baseplate. Also, I'm almost embarrassed to admit, there's a rather self-satisfying feeling see it ahead as you drive. Interestingly, the leaper catches the attention of youngsters, some even commenting about it. However, I've gradually come around to wishing that it wasn't there, preferring the bonnet's unadulterated contours. Decisions, decisions ...
