Hi Dave - I asked at the Jaguar Dealer and was told that the 2015 Satnav cannot accommodate Speed Camera's - I ended up buying a Road Angel Gem - Had Jaguar install it and actually prefer it as it complements the gauges. Hope this helps Regards Steve

Thanks for the welcome Jim and Andy, and the lovely photo of your pup called Pip. Incidentally, one of our cats is called ‘Mr Pip’. Having experienced some ‘not so nice’ forums, I am hoping that this forum is a cut above the rest, and certainly it would appear to be so. John

I have been to look at the car and the valves have hit the pistons, ( no compression) taking off the cam belt cover there is still a belt fitted to the vehicle, removing the belt I could turn the camshafts and water pump and idler pulley so what I think has happened is they fitted a belt to tight, it broke, they collected the vehicle and fitted a new belt. I did not touch the car, one of the workshop staff removed cover ect, if there was no belt they could say a stone must have got between the belt and a pulley, but I have never known anything to cause valve to piston contact, other than maybe reving the engine flat out standing still or incorrect timing when fitted. Thank you by the way for your reply, it has answerd many questions what to do.

Welcome to the Club, Steve. You will find that the members are a friendly bunch of people who are very helpful. The Jaguar you have is a real head turner and I see one occasionally in the local car park - also in black. The Jaguar factory in Castle Bromwich is only six miles away from where I live in Sutton Coldfield and I sometimes see new models on the road. We make very good cars in Birmingham [and Coventry] Regards, Peter.
  7. Hi David and welcome to the club. When I had the same issue - intermittent movement, I sprayed the rails with WD40 and it started working again. If that doesn't work, Joe has given you the other option. Regards, Peter.
  8. hi sounds like the buttons are playing up or there might be a loose connection if its the swtches/button id try ebay or a local breaker cheers joe
  9. 140mm back from the grille. On the bonnet under side there's a hole just behind the bonnet pin & spring, Drill the center there. (check 1st the nylon nut fits the hole) Suggest you print a copy of EC Directive 74/483 and keep it in the glove box, For when those interceptor guys are feeling bored and decide to give you a free road side MOT.
  10. Hi Nathan, If you locate a car that looks good, just post its location on this topic, and there could well be a member who could take the timeout to have a look at it. Regards, Peter.
  11. Got my first (and only) at the age of 57. I suspect that the car might be considered an "old man's car" because, to be fair, there are not many young men who could afford to drive one from new.
