  4. Hello, 2007 Jaguar XK 2.4 Coupe Base owner here. I have been looking for proper information regarding the compatibility of some EBC products, hoping you guys can help me out. I really want slotted and drilled rotors (sure for looks) and preferably not made in China, which puts me at Hawk and EBC only, and Hawk is not compatible on all wheels...so here I am with EBC as my only choice. The EBC Parts Finder says "compatible", yet every authorized dealer linked from EBC 's site says "not compatible". I have looked at the specs, and it seems the rotors should be compatible. I'm looking at: EBC S5KF1896 (kit with yellow stuff) Front Specs: Pad No. D1241; Vented; 5 Bolt Holes; 326mm Dia.; 47mm Height; 30mm Thick; 71mm Center Hole Dia. and EBC S5KR1598 (kit with yellow stuff) Rear Specs: Pad No. D1095; Vented; 5 Bolt Holes; 326mm Dia.; 38mm Height; 20mm Thick; 64.3mm Center Hole Dia. So are they actually compatible? Am I missing something? Do I need to buy them separately instead to fit? Please advise. 2nd question if applicable: the same is available with Bluestuff. EBC S6KF1245 and S6KR1186 (same specs I believe) which EBC Parts Finder also says "compatible" andauthorized sellers say "not compatible". But if they are, does anyone recommend yellow vs blue or vice versa? Thank you all in advance, I included the images of the kits
  5. Evening Won’t a normal diagnostic unit do? At a good independent garage? Regards Shaun
  6. Hi Todd, it depends where you are of course, but for the XK8 parts, I would naturally direct folks to DCR Auto Parts, speak with Dave Roche who is a great solutions provider. Link below will take you to his website and contact detaisl. https://www.dcrautoparts.com/ N6 JMX
  7. Well the Switch arrived back yesterday and it looks nice and clean. It has obviously been opened as the rivets holding it all together have been changed. So far so good but of course the acid test will be the functionality once fitted - I'm still nervous !

  9. Hi Wynne I would be surprised if those were the correct size. Mine is 2013 on 19" wheels and takes 245/40s. That profile means you get less cushioning from the tyres in addition to incorrect speed reading etc. My choice is to go for an all season tyre. Absolute performance is slightly less than a summer tyre but as soon as the temperature gets below 8 C they are far better. Add a bit of snow or ice and they are in a different league. Michelin Cross Climates are traditional class leaders but I like the new Bridgestone Turanza 6 All Season as a good compromise. Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 are also well rated. Don't forget to buy online as you always get a better price. John
  10. Hi Martin, I have contacted Neil Campbell at the JDHT, just along the road from you and he would very much like to come and collect the cutaway Jaguar. Can you contact Neil on the following email address, thanks. ncampbell@jaguarheritage.com

  14. Has anyone correctly fitted 15" beauty rings to a Xjs Facelift with diamond lattice wheels?
  15. Hi Paul, I'm sure stranger things happen, but it doesn't say much for quality control. Glad you got it sorted though! Jon
  16. Hello Fellow enthusiasts. Question, would a later model BTooth module (eg. 2012 ECM) work in a 2007 vehicle? This year, my BT cannot connect/pair with phones this year. Maybe the mobile phone IO is too advanced for the current ECM? I have had a service centre reflash the S/W on the unit without resolve. So, am thinking of hunting for a replacement and I believe from 2012 onward, the interface is improved and may work with current mobile phone IOs. Thank you in advance for your help & support. Rick.
  17. I need to replace the catalytic converters both sides on my Jaguar S Type R 2007, reg JR52ROB, vin N83514. Part numbers XR858408 (RH) and XR858415 (LH). I have contacted Jaguar direct but are now obsolete. I have tried numerous aftermarket suppliers inc David Manners, SGN, Berkshire Jag and many others but theres no availability at all. Can anyone at Jaguar Drivers Club help with this problem it would be much appreciated? Thanks and kind regards, John Robbins.
  18. Hi Jim, thanks for the reply and suggestion. Worth considering for sure - if the 'off-the-shelf' option doesn't bear any fruit.
  19. Hi again Nick, I know you indicated you did not want a red one, but a 2009 Tdi Sovereign with 80k miles has just appeared on the same site, so they are obviously around. N6 JMX
  20. Hi all I have a 2017 , 3.0 F-pace making a grinding noise on front drivers side, sounds like it is in the light bizarrely, seems to do when engine hot and car stopped not while driving. Anyone got any ideas. Many thanks in advance. Drew PXL_20240511_090602885.mp4

  23. Hi all, Has anybody any idea where I can purchase Jaguar Part C2C28125. It is on back order with Jaguar and I have been unsuccessful in my search. Many Thanks
  24. We’ll triumph, Dave lol. Keep me posted on how you get along with everything. The suspension job sounds like a big undertaking, and not one I would relish. Next for me is broken glow plug removal and then full service. I’m praying the heater core doesn’t need to come out. Speak soon, mate. All the best, and give me shout if you need anything. Take care.
  25. My X type is Jagatha, I was watching Vikings when I first got her and wife caught me drooling over Lagatha in the series, she then named the car Jagatha and said the Jag can be my one and only mistress 🤣
  26. I wasn't aware of the 2 litre having a dpf, if the last owner say's he has removed it then I would imagine he would have blanked the Egr too, It is easy to check, the dpf would be visible on the exhaust system near the front as a large canister and if it has been gutted there may be welds on it that don't look like original factory welds, I am not aware of a delete pipe but the last owner could have had one made, also the egr would have a blank between the Egr and the manifold, there are companies that would be able to stage 1 remap the ecu, deleting the egr and dpf if it has one and also add around 30hp which makes the fueling and gear change better and making the car a lot more user friendly. I have been quoted £250 for egr delete and stage 1 mapping.
  27. I did the Mr muscle on mine when I first got her, Drilled and tapped a hole in rear and injected a load of it in, left it for an hour while I was pulling the egr and inlet manifold to give both a good clean, I worked the actuator arm back and forth every now and then to make sure the Mr Muscle was getting everywhere. Had no ill effects and apart from a cough, a little splutter and a load of smoke coming out, she was much better on a run and idled better too. Handy tip for you, the folding straw cap on a wd40 can fits on the Mr muscle and makes it easier to get right inside.
