mp3 player

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to play my MP3 player through the cars speaker system. Xtype SE 2009. If so what do I need?

Cheers

Rod

Simply stated Rodney, yes.

You can use one of those FM transmitters or you can do it the OEM way which requires the use of an Audio Connection Module. This simulates the CDC and as a result can be fully integrated in the fibre optic network. It is simple to fit but ridiculously expensive to buy.

Thanks for your reply.

looks interesting, but I dont like the last bit!!

Thanks

Rod

Hi Rod,

There are a few bluetooth systems on the market.  My son has one that cost £15.99 and allows him to play his music from his iPhone.  I have never heard it, but he says it is OK.

The Audio connection module is the one to get if you are keeping your car for a fair length of time.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for that. I shall start looking at both possibilities. I will be keeping car a quite a while. ( I hope)

Cheers

If you decide to go the ACM route, give me a shout and I'll explain what is required Rodney. Same goes for anybody else who wants to do that retro-fit as well, of course.

Thanks Paul. I will let you know.

Cheers

Rod
