Hello

I have a slight problem with the transmission on the above car.

The gearbox is very smooth under normal driving conditions but when pulling away from a junction and also when slowing down to a low speed it feels quite sharp.

Does anyone have any experience of the above and do you think having the gearbox serviced with new Oil and filter pan would make any difference.

Regards

If the car has done over 60k miles then a gearbox service is certainly recommended.

hi

if it not been done its well over due,

ZF recommend 60k or 10 years

if you have it done stick with genuine parts and Oil, specifically ZF lifeguard 6,

also if it had been done at a dealer, they would also check software up to date, last update was 2009 and they reset adaptations and do a learn cycle, as sometimes changing the Oil can make it harsher if it has shifting issues

cheers
