2019 XF - was having problems of the  tailgate not opening, keyless, keyless opening etc.  when car was serviced at main dealer in March.  They said there was nothing wrong with it or it might be the camera (it wasn't).   Then the low battery start engine warning started coming up.   Local tyre place tested battery and said there was nothing wrong with it.   Called main dealer a couple of weeks ago and explained again and they said this time it did sound like the battery so we booked it in.  They tested it after charging and said the battery needed replacment.  We said fine go ahead.  We were surprised they said batteries were not kept in stock at a Main Dealer and we would have to book in again having paid £195.00.  We had it replaced today locally but we are still getting the loww battery warning, problem with the tailgate etc.  Is there something that needs resetting?  Help and thanks!

Is your car if a 2019 is it still covered under the manufacturer warranty, think it 3 years unlimited mileage, worth checking?

It was when we first raised the problem of the tailgate etc.  in March.  Thanks for responding.

So Les, I think you have a case if the original issue was raised under warranty if not fix  the warranty agreement should still apply.

Suspect the garage may play its a different issue, but worth exploring.

I agree with Tomato. Any supplier / dealer will try their best to avoid having to pay. Just be polite, firm and determined with them.

Best Wishes , John
