If you can afford so the stainless custom made the exhausts can be great, they will manufacture the sound to the specification you ask, my V8 sounds like a cat purring in slow traffic, anything more than 1500 revs sounds like a Ferrari and after 2500 revs goes back into a quieter mode for cruising

Hi Niall, I think the s-type v8's are great I put adamesh rear silencers on mine, which makes a superb sound now, too quiet standard there not too loud and just make a lovely burble just cruising around welcome to the club cheers Joe

Welcome to the Club, Niall. You have one very quick car -- in my opinion the S Type is a future classic. Enjoy! Regards, Peter.

Welcome to the Club, Reg. I have a stick on leaper on my S Type. Very sturdy, and will come of if necessary. And it saves drilling. Regards, Peter.

Hi Reg I have one that I fitted myself and it looks great and more like a Jaguar if you know what I mean If you look under the bonnet you will see a hole as a guide in the strengthening bar "BUT" be careful as it may not be exactly in the middle of the bonnet so small drill first then open the hole to the center you will see what I mean it will only be about 1/8 inch out if that .???
