  4. The powerfold mirrors are prone to sticking owing to dis-similar metal corrosion if not used regularly. Removing the covers and liberally applying spray lithium grease to the pivot point will help. Better still, once dosed with spray grease, get somebody to "assist" in exercising the mirrors while you operate the switch. It might take a while but they will eventually work completely free.

  5. car dash showing -4 door had frozen closed, but managed to get in, I think the mirrors are frozen in place at the moment, i could hear the motor/servo thing kicking in but it failed to fold them in. I will definitely be trying this again once the car defrosts tomorrow, Thanks for the pointer

  7. Hi Steve, First make sure that you have the radio code. Disconnect the battery - you will need two different sized of spanner. Wait a few minutes, then reconnect the battery. The alarm will go off. All your settings - clock, radio, sometime the satnav will need the sound resetting, and then the window settings - full one press drop & return - each window individually. I found it out when we were just about to go Leeds on New Years day and I had to call out Britannia Rescue --- the man did not know anything about modern cars, in his words! My son in law googled it and there you are. Regards, Peter.
