  1. The colour should be a bright, clear colour as opposed to contaminated opaque colour. Also, if the fluid is contaminated it would also smell burnt The solenoids would come up in fault codes if any issues when scanned
  2. Hi Stewart.....welcome to the Club I would see what information you can gather on the actual fault. If they drop the oil pan on the gearbox then any failure of hardware should be obvious by remains of bearing, clutch bands/plates and also the colour of the fluid and filter. It may just be a solenoid at fault as opposed to a whole new transmission?
  3. Hi Clive....welcome to the Club Superb looking Jag, and sounds like its a proper love affair, I don't blame you 🙂 Good to have you onboard!
  4. Hi Peter....welcome to the Club The Jag is definitely better quality but as you say the drive is probably more fun in the Alfa (just sold a GT and life is a little less fun without it) Good to have you onboard!
  5. Hi Mark....welcome to the Club I owned and worked on a lot of XJ s3 (both 6 and 12 cylinders) in the past and always have fond memories of them. Good to have you onboard and enjoy the Jag!
  6. You will need to code the BCM to accept the new battery voltage and if this hasn't been done then it will affect the vehicle electronics
  7. Its down to personal choice really as there are quite a few out there. I personally like Classic Jaguar as I prefer some of the older models but maybe try a few and stick with the one you prefer. Let us know what you think when you've tried a few
  8. Sounds like a coil spring is broken and that is making the noise on cornering The brake servo is corroded internally and needs to be replaced.....an XF version can be fitted in place of the original S type one
  9. Hi Mark, did you ever find the cause of this fault? Crank sensor possibly?
  10. How did you get on with this issue?
  11. There are a few rebuilders listed in directories but best to shop around for prices for rebuild versus rebuilt unit off the shelf
  12. Try these guys although cannot say what the quality is like at that price and whether the system will kick it out over time https://satnavstore.com/
  13. Hi Brendan It isn't a bad option to get a stainless system made for your car. It works out quite reasonable and also much more durable than a standard steel system which will corrode over time. Additionally, it is lighter in weight and also gives a much crisper sound with possible power increase which can also lead to a marginal improvement in fuel economy
  14. Hi Chris.....welcome to the Club Two Jags! .... I suppose you can never have too many Jaguars in your garage 🙂 Good to have you onboard!
  15. HI Dave....welcome to the Club Feel free to post up a photo of the S-Type and am interested in what is on the Japanese spec car that isn't on the UK one? Good to have you onboard!
  16. Hi John....welcome to the Club Sounds like the boot latch (part that attaches to the lower sill area of the boot where the latch attaches to) is misaligned. If you can loosen the fasteners and move slightly to see if this makes a difference?
  17. I have read it as 120 months and 105000 miles https://www.motorparks.co.uk/technical-data/jaguar/f-pace/2.0-d200-r-dynamic-s-5dr-auto-awd
