  1. There’s plenty of x type breakers Phil which a quick google will throw up. Cheapest I’ve seen on eBay is £33 for just the left one. Might be worth looking into 3D printing also.
  2. It is indeed indicative of a failed thermostat. If changing one then best to change both. The temperature gauge should be just on the halfway mark normally.
  3. Hi Edith, My, my, my, what a very gracious offer but there really is no need, a simple thanks is all I require to be safe in the knowledge that I may have helped in some small way. One by one then, first the clockspring. This is what you require, https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/550279232 Just search your own version of eBay and then you won’t need to worry about converting currency. And this is how to change it, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s-type-s-type-r-supercharged-v8-x200-15/how-s-type-clock-spring-removal-faq-61287/ please heed the warning if you are at all unsure. Lug nuts, again if you search your version of eBay for the same lug nuts I linked to earlier you will find them. For the front ABS sensor, this is what you need, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-S-TYPE-FRONT-ABS-SENSOR-FIT-ALL-MODELS-02-08-EXCELLENT-COND-/183780939163?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=EAIaIQobChMI5fyG-_rQ8wIVbUaRBR2s1wvOEAQYAyABEgLIGvD_BwE As for a code reader, the one I have is the icarsoft 930 and is ideal for your car. If you do get one make sure it is for Jaguar only and Diagnostic World is a good place to get one from. Hope this helps, Jim
  4. The ground point you require is CA50 located on the right hand ‘A’ post below the primary junction fuse box. Figure 06.1 of this manual refers, http://www.jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepairPhotos/x2062004en.pdf
  5. The airbag code of 1-9 is indicative of a defective clockspring in the steering wheel. A replacement will cure that problem. At the earliest opportunity it would be prudent to remove the existing lug nuts and replace them all with the solid type. These are what I have, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20x-ALLOY-WHEEL-NUTS-JAGUAR-S-TYPE-X-TYPE-CHROME-LUG-BOLT-STUD-QUALITY-20L/322551270259?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D279707e90cd84407af62051fd274c338%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D322551270259%26itm%3D322551270259%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A31c8544d-e131-11e9-8a5f-74dbd180d657|parentrq%3A731334ab16d0a4b7b67e7f6dff7a4b99|iid%3A1
  6. ABS sensors failing are a common problem and an easy DIY job. Does the airbag come on straight away or does it flash first?
  7. Coolant thermostat and oil cooler thermostat.
  8. Stop throwing money at it on the same parts. Investigate the cooling system with the view that you may need to change both thermostats and possibly the water pump.
  9. This TSB may be of interest to you. http://www.jagrepair.com/images/TSB/TSB2/S-Type/310Fuel/S310-06 Fuel Filler Door Inoperative.pdf
  10. You want to try fully charging your battery and then see what happens.
  11. It sits on the side of the washer fluid bottle in a recess, one for the headlights and one for the windscreen.
  12. Glad to hear it and thanks for the update.
  13. Hi Graham, As the battery is already flat you are best advised to disconnect it from the car and then try charging it. You don’t need to remove it just charge it direct to the terminals. Once charged you will have the windows and park brake to reset.
  14. The manufacturers recommend changing the oil at 60K miles, Jaguar said “sealed for life”. I believe the manufacturers.
  15. In X150 guise from 06 MY, All came with the top folding away under a cover.
  16. This might help, https://www.jaguarforum.com/threads/jaguar-xf-x260-pollen-cabin-filter-replacement.105544/
  17. Check the drains in the corners of the windscreen, also check the pollen filter. Then as above, get an aircon bomb and let that off.
  18. If you do have an air leak, which is very possibly the cause of your problem, then having a smoke test done will show where the leak is. Failing that, removing the airbox back to the throttle body and carefully checking the joints and pipes may show up a potential leak.
  19. Do not go directly to the battery, you will upset the battery monitoring system (BMS). You can however connect to the positive of the battery and a nearby ground point or use the terminals under the bonnet.
  20. Press the volume button and it will switch off. Or change from CD to radio and the CD will stop playing.
  21. Most likely the tank itself. Just get a new one. https://www.berkshirejagcomponents.com/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=18744192&AccID=117155&PGFLngID=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp6msrN-G8wIVD7btCh362wLpEAQYBCABEgLTQPD_BwE
  22. Have a look, https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Windscreen-Washer-Pumps-for-Jaguar-XF-Sportbrake/174112/bn_7013578852
  23. First, make sure the passenger side is in the folded position then simply push the drivers side to the folded position. Now unfold electrically and they should work together.
  24. Ok Brian no probs, good luck with your search.🙂
