  1. Brian I find that interesting, being from the "Dinosaur Age" and never having been involved with optic technology in vehicles. Having thought about it I can well understand the logic of what you say, in as much as if you have a break/gap in the optical process/route then it plainly will not work. Many thanks for causing the little grey matter to give it some thought. Regards, John
  2. Robert Good photos of very nice cars. I too will for the time being have to just use my S-Type Best Wishes and Regards, John
  3. Kevin, You will find it useful. If you put the codes you find on this Forum someone will have some advice/knowledge to offer you. Best Wishes, John
  4. Delia That looks a nice car. Could I suggest that you put a few more details on the listing to aid the potential selling of the car. E.G. Engine Size: 2.5, 3.0, 4.0 etc. Fuel: Petrol or Diesel, Service History: when/what/where and whether there is supporting documents to prove. Best Wishes with your selling. Regards, John
  5. Kevin With Diagnostic Units it is a case of you get what you pay for. A cheaper one will diagnose most engine faults/codes, but for other systems you usually need a slightly higher priced unit. I have two, a Foseal cheaper model with is around £20.00 and copes very well with engine needs. Then I have a iCarsoft CR PRO , which covers all makes of car and which is very good for all systems and is around £225. There are cheaper models that have the software but are specific to car make. I.E. Jaguar. To my mind a diagnostic unit is an essential part of owning and successfully being able to run a Jaguar. That is of course my opinion, which others would be very entitled to disagree with. Good Luck with sorting your car. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  6. Steven An update on this would be interesting. Regards, John
  7. Kevin You do not quote where/what garage is doing these checks that you pay for. Is it a specialist Jaguar Dealer or a Main Agent or just a general garage. As a suggestion have you thought about using an independent Jaguar specialist. I would be very inclined not to pay for work being done if it were not done to my satisfaction and requirement. Do you have a diagnostic unit of your own. If you have list any codes that are showing up and someone on this Forum will sure to be able to give some suggestions for you in respect of identifying your problem/s. Hope you do get it sorted. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  8. Justin Good item to submit. I will file this in the brain just in case it should be needed. Thank You. Best Wishes and Regards, John

Finding it seems to be a problem, which is why I appealed to the membership in the hope that someone new a product that was suitable and safe. Best Wishes, John
