  1. No, mine was an exact replica/copy of the original equipment fitting. Regards, John
  2. Elliott, it is a reasonably straight forward job. The only pointers I could offer are what I imagine you will be well aware of anyway.: make certain you have the correct sized sockets etc., to avoid rounding off. Use a couple of soakings of WD40 and let it soak in before attempting to remove nuts, especially at the manifold. Be sure the joint at the manifold is seated correctly when you fit the new Converter and do not over torque the nuts. Good Luck with the job. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  3. Bought mine in recent months from the link below. They seem to know what they are selling, very helpful and quick delivery. Product good as well. Photos on my submissions in S-Type from a few months back. https://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/car-parts/Jaguar/S-Type/2.5L/Petrol/Premium/Exhausts/Catalytic-Converters/JAG1037H/1/34?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpfeMq4eE9gIVP4BQBh1tZAOpEAQYASABEgJzqvD_BwE Good luck and Best Wishes, Regards, John

  5. Jon, This is the link that I was looking at, but I am not even sure of which type/style of badge you are looking for. Picture would be educational if you have one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=Jaguar+X+type+Boot+Badges&_sacat=0 Best Wishes and Good Luck with you searching. Regards, John
  6. It seems I forgot to put the link in. However if you have already checked Ebay then I am sure the badge I was referring to would not be what you were looking for. Good luck with your search. There are some breakers around who often specialise in Jaguar bits. Perhaps you could search for them and find something. Sorry to have caused confusion. Regards, John
  7. Jon, is this the one you are looking for. There are many types for sale on EBAY and the likes. Cheers, John
  8. Would agree but as with anything for sale, it is dependent on what someone will pay for it. Good luck with sale. Regards, John
  9. Have had a further thought, probably "stretching things a bit", but there was once a Suzuki model imported to GB (small jeep 4x4/semi utility) and it was named Suzuki SJ. A tenuous connection but the SJ`s did become very wanted and collectable, mainly due to their simplicity and durability. A very tenuous connection, but who knows there could be someone looking for a registration number for that model ????? Regards, John
  10. Not instantly recognising the importance of SSJ. Recalling the early years of Jaguar there was an SS model, but where the J would come into that I am not aware. The problem was that the Jaguar SS was eventually associated with the !Removed! German war regime and Jaguar had to drop the SS name because of that very matter. As it happens the SS model was a gorgeous looking car and in todays market are worth a fortune. All I could suggest is that you contacted one of the many dealers in registration numbers and seek a valuation from them. A lot of any value could well be, or not be, in the remainder of the Registration Number which, for understandable reasons, you have not quoted. Good luck with your quest and Best Wishes, Regards, John.
  11. Anthony, many thanks for the positive comment and hope it was oh help. Regards, John
  12. Paul, It would be good to know what you think of their charges, abilities and customer service. Good Luck, Regards, John
  13. Paul, I live in Gloucestershire and the only Independent Jaguar Specialist I know of is Swallows, just south of Bristol, in Somerset. https://swallows-jag.co.uk. There is also one at Kidderminster https://offmoreroadgarage.co.uk I have not personally used either of them so cannot vouch for their expertise or customer service. Best Wishes and Regards, John
