  1. It'll be a maf sensor then more commonly known as a air flow meter. Lots of ford bits under the bonnet unfortunately. Is the car running ok??
  2. It will have either a map (manifold absolute pressure) or a maf (mass air flow) sensor but not both. Not sure which is fitted to a 2.5. Why you ask??
  3. Here's all the information you need http://www.jaguarforum.com/showthread.php?t=7735 Oh, I had a '99 T reg s type with the cassette storage and that had electronic heater controls.
  4. I've never seen analog heater controls in a s type. It's alway been these two
  5. I have the dvd satnav player in the boot, will I need anything else to connect a cd came in??
  6. The sat navs easy. On the screen is a menu button, press that then the next page has route options, press that then on the right side of the screen you should have a cancel guidance button. Press that then press yes to cancel. Easy. If you have the phone kit then it should be straight forward. Some have installed it and it worked off the bat, some needed a trip to the dealers to activate it. Hope this helps. A member called raistlin has fitted phone, Bluetooth and voice along with the acm module and cdc with ease so it's definitely doable.
  7. Think you take the glove box out and there up behind the dash. Don't know about the fuse but worth a check Also, have you ever heard a gurgling noise on switch off??
  8. Sounds like blend motors are either inop or stuck. With ignition on and fan low switch between up and down and face and listen, you should hear motors changing flaps behind dash. If they're gone it's not a bad job, just fiddly.
  9. You'll know where the mostyn clock towner is then?? We're next door to that.
  10. No, sorry. The name comes from when I worked as a tyre fitter at a large haulage company in Holywell where one of the directors was called andy and sounded a bit like me on the phone. When I used to ring the drivers up and say it's andy they used to ask which one it was so I used to say it's andy the tyre man and the name stuck!! Even had it on the side of my van
  11. Looks nice but I'm not so sure about the gold leaper fitting in with the chrome accessories I'll keep a look out for your distinctive reg when we're out and about!!
  12. Anyone know what this code is??
  13. Very kind offer from peter there!! I had a 99 'T reg 3.0 petrol auto which was my 1st jaguar and although it had its age related niggles it was a fine, fast saloon and very comfortable!! I bought my 06 2.7d manual just before Christmas and it's the best car I've ever owned I get around 38 to 42 in general tooling about and upto 50 on a run which makes jaguar ownership very nice The only problem I've had was a strange cruise problem which cured it's self over a 3week or so period. I was worried about the dpf having read some horror stories about engine failure caused by dpf failing and mixing diesel with oil but I do a minimum of 10 miles per trip living where we do and twice a week a 50mile round trip to the mother in laws. My only snippet of advice is set your budget and find the best car you can, I looked at quite a few upto my 5k limit and found my one owner car at £4500 having seen loads of multi owner uncared for ones
  14. Should be six. If the sport button is in the top left of the randle handle surround then it's a six.
  15. Cool, something to watch out for. Cheers.
  16. Your not having much luck are you??? i wasn't looking for a jag, wanted a P38 Range Rover but the wife stumbled upon a nice looking '99 3.0 petrol and after a test drive we bought it. Then, I decided I wanted a newer one, found one in Liverpool, test drove it and bought it. Maybe I was just lucky.
  17. I've seen a bodge mod somewhere but can't find it. It may have been on the American jaguar forum.
  18. Just done it too. Much better than cup holders that are in the way of the gear stick!!! Phone fits in there nice too
  19. Sometimes the plastic pipe shrinks with age and then becomes detached. Only cure is to carefully lower the head lining and see if that's the problem.
  20. Another 12months of luxury motoring for me!!! Tester commented on how mint it was underneath!!! Well happy!!
