  1. It's jaguars attempt at mood lighting. Gives everything a nice orange glow at night.
  2. View item: 121152071162 Chrome Detailing Foil Tape Car Stripe Coachline 10m Roll x 5mm Wide <> End Time: 20 Jul 2015 13:32:11 BST
  3. How can you tell if a pipe has a pinhole in it without pressure testing it?? Only way is to go and see if the system has gas in it then remove them yourself, if you have the joint splitting tool though.
  4. Can't wait to see you on traffic cop on TV!! Close call but glad your ok!!
  5. Only problem with scrapyard aircon pipes is they will no doubt be as bad as the ones your replacing.
  6. Bit more info and an introduction would be nice.
  7. Jaguar have them in stock, £380+vat. I got quoted £480+vat fitted at a local garage. Seemed easier to get rid of the car and buy a better one in my case!! Think that's why jaguar moved the pipes on the facelift cars.
  8. But not rear heated seats. Universal kits are available on the bay of E.
  9. I've just bought a copy disc off the net and it's working fine. Phil58 had the same problem even with my genuine 2005 disc and his solution was a new DVD player.
  10. Welcome. I have a diesel manual SE on an 06 and, having had a 3.0 petrol auto I'd recommend the diesel. Mines an SE with nav, memory seats parking sensors and 17in wheels and that's about it really. Others will have Bluetooth, voice and cd changer but all this is easily retro fitted. My advice is find the best spec best car you can find, each will be different. Try a manual and an auto and make your own mind up. The manual is better on fuel if that's important. Later, 08 cars are sometimes XS spec which is a bodykit, bigger wheels and possibly all the toys.
  11. Yes, it's definitely alpine green pearlescent, not metallic. I had a '99 T reg one.
  12. The rear belt is only due a change at 150k.
  13. I had an 08 skoda octavia a few years ago that had a left footrest AND one on the right for when the cruise was in use!!! Very Useful Missus's Mgf has a left footrest but it's a little awkward to use comfortably!
  14. I've had a quote from main dealer of £505+vat and an independent at £300+vat. Just to add to peters recommendation 105k or TEN years, whichever is sooner
  15. Have a look on here. http://www.jagrepair.com/JaguarSTypeElectricalOBDIIcodes.htm
  16. Don't bother changing the box, just the converter.
  17. I cleaned my milky headlights on my old '99 car with halfords cutting compound with plenty of water. Toothpaste works too or I saw in practical classic mag last month a 3M headlight repair kit for around £30 to use with a cordless drill. Hesitating under load could be the plugs on the left bank as you need to take the intake off to get to them so many people never change them. Not sure on the key side of things as usually a new style fob means a new chip system, I may be wrong!! Try jaguar first then work from their price, independent garages may be worth a try too. Try your local euro car parts for service items first. Hope all this helps.
  18. Yes they do upto model year 2012 as its all S type underneath. I saw a 2010 xf in rybrook jaguar in chester with my 17in libra alloys on. Looked strange!!
  19. I'd avoid halfrauds auto centre like the plague!! Ring the warranty place and ask if there's any other garages you can take it to. Also, charging £50 for diagnostics on a warranty claim sound bad practice to me, hope you didn't pay it!! Mate of mine took his Mgf to an auto centre for a water pump replacing and they very nearly killed his car and he had to claim compo for the !Removed! ups they did!
