  1. Maybe needs new pads and the unit stripping and cleaning. The fault that is thrown up in the display is usually the actuator arm rusting due to water ingress.
  2. Just a thought.......... I bought a 1999 T reg petrol for a few hundred quid and, after getting used to the jaguar comfort decided to punt £4500 on a 06 2.7d. Excellent car and no bother as the T reg had a few "niggles" Why not increase your budget and get the best you can. There's a garage in Ellesmere Port that has a 55 reg 2.7d for 5k, one owner and100k milage.
  3. Unfortunately I'm "retired" (no pun intended) If you have a tyre house near by id recommend www.camskill.co.uk for tyres delivered to your door, you just have to take them to someone to fit them.
  4. Oh. I have a trade card and the discount on that is ridiculously huge!
  5. Although Bluetooth was invented in 1998 it wasn't in common use until 2003 so, no it won't work. Now and again the Motorola phones crop up on eBay. Old technology though so novelty value imho.
  6. Do you mean a trade card??
  7. I have a 2.7d manual after having a 3.0 auto and I prefer the manual car as its a better drive. The mgf is the missus's car and our 4th mgf!! Good luck with the search.
  8. I may be wrong but I read somewhere that the input shaft in the crank shaft is bigger on the auto than the manual. I'd suggest a clutch pedan/pedal box, prop shaft, gearbox mounting bracket.
  9. Most people in North Wales are scousers anyway.
  10. I used to have a bonnie Tyler sat nav It was rubbish. All it did was tell me to turn around and every now and then it just fell apart.
  11. Have you tried eBay or the many jaguar breakers?? I tried to get a wing for my last jag but it was in alpine green so a bit thin on the ground but loads of jag breakers had them in. Depends on what colour your after.
  12. My money would be on a sticking thermostat. Oh, you say you have a 2ltr s type. 2.5 3.0 2.7d 4.0 or 4.2??
  13. I've not yet fitted mine but it's easy enough if your handy with the spanners. Requires drilling into your chassis though!! Check out the witter fitting instructions here. http://www.pfjones.co.uk/witter/J12.pdf The only thing you'll struggle with is the electrics due to the complexity of the system. I paid £50 for my brand new witter towbar as an eBay miss listing so nobody bid on it. Average seems to be around the 250 mark upwards if you want the fancy detachable ones.
  14. Bumper off then a series of bolts to undo. If you already have the new wing you can use it as a reference as to where the bolts are.
  15. My tenner dongle is well up to the job
  16. When guidance is on press nav menu on screen then on right side of screen press cancel guidance Press yes to confirm. Job done. Easy.
  17. Wow. I've gone down the tenner Bluetooth dongle route. Connect phone to it, put music file on shuffle and rock 'n roll baby!! No need to change track up or down cos if it's on my phone it's good enough for me
  18. Yes. Cd button on steering wheel then moves track up or down.
  19. If it's a 2001 and has the old, mk1 stereo then it'll be in the glove box. If it's the facelift mk2 type then it's in the left side of the boot taped to the loom up behind the rear light.
  20. These are my 17in libra alloys. (Not for sale/swop)
