  1. Hi all, I am a new member after picking up my first Jag yesterday, a XFS very happy with it so far. I am just wondering looking for a Jag specialist to work on my car when the time is required. I am more than happy to a lot of job myself, so mostly thinking about having the specialist do the cambelt and gearbox service when needed. So far I know of J-Cat and the Jag centre in Norwich. Anyone used these or know of any others.

  3. Hi Peter, I named my XF “Luna” 🌕 I’ve enjoyed the first 5 months of owning my first Jaguar. It’s a lovely car to drive. Here's a photo. Kr, Ian

  4. The XK8 is Kate for obvious reasons and the X350 is Big Bertha although my wife has other names for it when trying to find the perfect parking place in the seemingly tiny spaces at the supermarket.

  5. Hi all i just acquired a Jaguar Mk10 and wondered where the best place to buy a replacement exhaust system I could fit as there are more holes in it than is healthy ! It’s blowing all over the place ….from the forward box to the split and the two boxes and to the end of the tail pipes so basically irreparable

  7. Not sure what part of Norfolk you are in and although technically in Cambridgeshire, there is Jagutek in Ely : http://jagutek.co.uk/ Not used them myself but have heard good reports. I'm not 100% certain on the later cars (mine is a 1999 S Type 3.0 V6 SE) but it seems most of the petrol AJ--V- engines used chain drives for the camshafts, i believe the 2.0 Ecoboost uses a timing belt immersed in oil surprisingly - unsurprisingly regular oil and filter changes are essential to preserve longevity! I may be wrong on that, Jaguar may have altered it somewhat but i know a lot of the Ecoboost engines use that arrangement. With the autoboxes, most were "sealed for life" although the WSM recommends changing the fluid at 80k miles if used in "extreme conditions". What those extreme conditions are, it doesnt really specify. Again, this may have changed on later models so it's worth getting to know exactly what engine and transmission you have and working the exact requirements out from there.

  10. Premium Member announcement! - Halfords Discount Due to circumstances beyond our control, Halfords has made the decision to slightly reduce the discount level they have been generously passing onto the members for many years. From 1st January 2023 until 31st January 2023 the discount has now been reduced to 10%. As from the 1st February 2023, the discount will then decrease to 8% for the foreseeable future. Existing Halfords Wallet cards will still work after the 1st of January 2023. This offer will still apply to in-store purchases only (T&Cs apply) Although Halfords has reduced their discount, we are striving to lower your motoring costs by providing discounts through your Premium membership. Take a look at the current discount providers that we currently have on-board and see if there are any deals that could save you money!

  11. Hello, My name is James and I am now the proud owner of "The jag Centre" in Spixworth Norwich, Norfolk.😊 So i bought the place in April 2019 and i am slowly making changes and improvements from the last owner "Barry" Everything is mostly the same using the jaguar IDS system (same as main dealer use) and same technicians, plus we are half the cost of the main dealer. We also have 5 jaguar loan cars.I do not sell cars like Barry did as i did not want that part of the business. If i do get any to sell they will be posted on the facebook page My partner Nikki mans the phones and she will deal with you directly. You will even get a coffee while you wait. We have a facebook page, instagram as well these were lacking. And we are looking to give all our customers cards that offer a discount on every job they have done. We have had customers come in from jaguar forums saying they thought the place had closed due to Barry's retirement, so i hope this clears things up.. We are 100% still open :-) Regards James

  12. As a child I remember watching a series 2 XJ6 driving past every weekday and promised myself i would one day have one. Then some years later my father invited me to join him taking a series 3 sovereign 4.2 for a test drive. I was drooling at the prospect of my dad owning a jag, knowing that i'd get a drive in it too. My father never got that series 3, it was longer than his garage. Models came and went, most of which I liked but could never afford. Then, this year I was able to retire early and despite my wife not liking them, i've just got myself a retirement present. I am now the proud and very chuffed owner of a Jaguar XF 3L diesel. It's only taken me 55 years, but i got there in the end.

  13. Hi. Just joined here, but had my 2002 2.5 V6 S Type for nearly a year now. My father had a 3.4 litre Jaguar Mark 2 when I was growing up and I always said I would have a Jaguar one day. I bought it as a second car but I am using it more than expected! My (now elderly) father finds it easier to get into than my main car and loves being taken out in it. My kids instinctively appreciate it when I have them- "Can we go out in the Jag all the time while we are here?" I love it and I'm glad I bought it!
