Hi Wesley, might I suggest you list your registration for sale in the Jaguar Marketplace section of the Forum, look further down the list of Sections and you will find the right place. Listing the registration in the XF section is not the place where folks looking to buy stuff are going to go to first. Plus, one more post in the XF section and your post disappears off the top spot, never to be seen again. Just a suggestion. N6 JMX

Hi Retsof, be very careful with these plug in updates - they have in the past caused significant issues with the control system in Jaguars. N6 JMX

Thanks John, should have a chance to get to it this weekend, it's running fine at the moment. annoyingly. At least if it just broke I could fix it.

Hi Andy, given that the headlining of a convertible is not affixed to a board, but more akin to a tent, it might be possible to have a decent upholsterer make you a new headlining using the old one as a template. You could then make it in Alcantara or other exotic material as you desire. For the A-pillars and top rail, there was an article in the March 2021 issue of the JEC magazine regarding recovering these with a faux leather purchased from eBay. If you don't have access to the back copies of the magazine - they are available online digitally for JEC members - drop me a PM with your email address and I will see if I can forward you a copy. Hi Fraser, to be clear you should highlight you are looking for an "original S-type" from 1963 - 1968 as opposed to the Modern S-type from 1999 - 2007. N6 JMX

Our 2008 3.0 S-Type (VIN N84369) needs a new coolant temperature sensor, but I can't figure out where it is. The official shop manual is no help; the diagrams are worthless. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is located? Thank you!

Hey there all. Very happy to be a part of the community finally Fatih here, 37 yo, engineer working in heavy trucks R&D in Germany. Lately I've got a beautiful 380 PS Eiger Grey 2018 Jaguar XE S. The car has 112k on the clock with black interior, 20" Propeller alloys and full Jag service history. Got her from Belgium and I brought to Germany (not a good German speaker, that's why I'm here actually ). There are some stuff I had to deal with: Done going back to stock intake from Cold Air Intake(for German MoT) Done going back from custom Ti catback to stock (again, MoT) Some TLC needed on the paintwork here and there Annoying crack on the outer lens of the cluster, dunno what to do honestly. F.ing mid section of the exhaust fell and scratched the Rear LHS door leather trim while bringing the car (had to carry inside, too big), again not sure what to do (repair or change). Pedals look rly worn, looking for a good F/P pair to renew. There's a missing small plastic part at the rear end of the roof drip molding strap, looking for some breakers for that. Car has no carpets, looking for a good one also fit for the trim. RHS hook in the boot is missing. Key fob metal part is quite banged up and spare key is missing There are also some other stuff I wanna go further with: F-type 3.23 FDR LSD retrofit Facelift Steering Wheel retrofit Facelift Rear End (imho rear-end is one of the weakest points of pre-facelifts, the front is other way around) A proper application of a smaller supercharger pulley with proper chip-tune Symposer delete SV8 Style front bumper Fantasy item: Bigger front brakes (SV8 or LR 3 Piston retrofit, hopefully bolt-on) Fantasy item: Carbon bonnet with vents Fantasy item: Custom alu/CF strut brace Any kind of suggestions or criticism is welcome. I'd love to hear your honest opinions about all above. Other cars include 2016 BMW F20 125d 2016 Renault Megane GT 2009 Alfa Romeo GT Q2 (in Istanbul) I also owned a 2010 XF 3.0D 240 PS before I moved to Germany. It was such a dream to drive, just a bit too heavy for my taste Again, hello everyone. Exciting to be here Cheers, Fatih

So success, I transplanted the top half of the key onto the new shell, and was really easy to programme into the car, so now I got my only key working as it should.

Hi all I have a 2011 2.2d xf, the car is great when cold accelerates great no issues, on long motorway runs again no issues, but when I drive around town about 7-10 miles stop start I get some series acceleration issues, the car is very unpredictable sometimes it pulls away slowly and picks up gradually, other times it pulls away lime a snail and very slowly picks up, I have no error codes or fault lights, I have changed the MAF sensor, had the EGR valve programmed out of the ECU and changed all filters and can't find the issue, when the problem occurs if I put my foot to the floor it revs to about 3000 rpm but doesn't pick up and the gears are snatchy, I have had the transmission serviced and checked and that if fine any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all a quick question regarding the tyre pressure monitor system on my F Pace it has started to randomly lose contact with the rear driver wheel which I'm putting down to it's battery probably been nearly ten years old. As I'm about to have all 4 tyres replaced soon was wondering if it's a case of replacing the battery in them or should I just buy a full set of sensors and start a fresh. The tyres are going to sting me any way so don't want to have to pop them off later down the line when others start dying. Thanks in advance Pete.

Jaguar s type with nav
The Voices replied to Scott2611's topic in Jaguar Audio / Video / Electronics / Security Systems
My 2006 STR has the standard audio setup (not the Alpine 'Premium sound') I made a noticeable improvement to the sound by adding a 'stand alone' Alpine Class D amplifier. Most manufacturers offer them, commonly referred to as 'power pack' amplifiers. As the standard head unit in the car hasn't got line level outputs, my amplifier can accept either 'high level' inputs (fed from the speaker outputs of the head unit) or 'line level' inputs for head units that have this function. The amp is very compact, I managed to fit it behind the dashboard, after removing the head unit to gain access to the wiring. Quite a while since I did the upgrade, but I think that I put standard round speakers into the front and rear door to replace the paper coned ovals that are standard fit, possibly needed an adaptor to make them fit the aperture and a short adaptor lead to change the speaker wires from a plug to standard spade terminals.
