    Did you purchase the car privately or through a dealer? If the latter, I would go back to the dealer as there should be a warranty period even if only a few months. I have a 2010 XF and get the same issue sometimes with the doors not locking and just get the beep. I open and close all of the doors again and it seems to work for me. So maybe WD40 is the way forward?

    Welcome Mick, what a beauty your car is. Sorry I cant help with the mirrors, but I will keep snooping for replies as my mirrors on my XF are hit and miss as to whether they fold in or not.

    Agree with Big John. The dealer will not just change the Cam Belt, however, they should be making the owner aware that the change is due during the service when reporting any other faults that may have been identified. But again, the customer is under no obligation to have the belt changed and could say no, especially if the car is soon to be sold.

    My partner has a 2017 Mercedes E class. I drove this yesterday for the first time since owning my jag and I must say, I didn't like it. Very bumpy with the feeling I was being thrown around in a small box. Being a 2.0 engine it also seemed very slow. This is a total reverse of when we met a few years ago, and I owned a Vauxhall insignia. I thought her car was amazing to drive, but it just goes to show the different levels these companies are at.

    I would put the higher grade fuel in. Fill the tank with the expensive fuel as that should help clean the injectors. If after a week or so you see or feel no different then you'll need to get it looked at properly. This is obviously dependent on whether you still have access to fuel in the current climate!!! 🤣
